Meet the Instructors

Courtney Fitzmaurice

Courtney has been with East Hill since 2005 and has been riding and competing for 25 years. She is accomplished in Dressage, Eventing, Equitation and Jumpers. She started riding at the age of 6 and soon found her love and passion. She competed Hunters/Jumpers for 8 years. At the age of 14 she was introduced to Dressage and Eventing. Courtney has trained and ridden with some of the following; Barend Heilbron, Buck Davidson, Sandy Osborn, Stephi Baer, Leslie Hicks, and Rachel Markels Webber. She has successfully competed in Canada and throughout the US east coast and enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities, and working with and training horses of all levels.

Kristin Baird

Kristin came to East Hill in 1997 as a boarder/student. She soon began her apprenticeship with Jane Goodband and Patricia Glennon. After attaining her instructors license she began teaching Hunt Seat and Balanced Seat while working towards her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Elementary Education. Kristin has ridden with and attended clinics with several local trainers as well as instructors in England while studying abroad. Kristin is committed to assisting her riding students in reaching their goals. Whether it be to gain confidence or ride competitively. Kristin also enjoys the challenge of working with horses to find their individual talents and abilities. She has trained, and retrained horses of all breeds and ages building trusting relationships between horse and rider allowing horses and clients to achieve their greatest potential.

  Delia Raymond

Delia came to East Hill at the age of 11 as a student and never looked back. Before becoming a licensed instructor, Delia spent much of her time around the barn riding and exercising horses, competing locally, mucking stalls, summer camp assistant, assisting instructors, and assisting management with routine horse health care. Delia apprenticed under Gail Discipio and now teaches primarily beginner through advanced beginner riders in balanced seat and low level Dressage. Delia's main focus for her students is to ride with confidence, a soft seat, quiet hands, and to have FUN!
